WALES/CYMRU

It is quite difficult to quantify what is happening with prayer in Cymru. As we are a Celtic nation, our DNA means that things don't happen from the top down, but from the ground up.
This ground swell of prayer is growing in an amazing way. We do not in general separate prayer and mission, but believe that prayer is missional and that the two walk together. One without the other is not God's plan for His people.
We are in a new season here in Wales, and we see signs of green in the fields, which we believe are new shoots from old shoots.
A small picture of some of the things happening here:
- New Wine Cymru.
- Lydia groups.
- Prayer and blessing teams going out.
- National prayer breakfast.
- Monthly prayer breakfasts for the Welsh Assembley.
- Prayer room in the Welsh Assembley being used more often.
- Prayer for old wells to be restored.
- Prayer events on border of counties.
- More movement between the north and the south.
- Local houses of prayer.
- New monasticism - a growing movement.
- Many, many other initiatives across the nation.
