PRAY WALES 2011
BY LINDY MORGAN
When God puts His finger on you there's only one thing to do...pay attention, get on your knees and be obedient to what He's saying. When I heard deep in my spirit what the Holy Spirit was stirring me with, I was excited but also a bit daunted by the prospect - this would take a lot of organising! God was prompting me to muster a whole nation to pray through the entire year of 2011.
This hadn't come as a ‘bolt from the blue'. On the contrary, Father has been positioning His saints in preparation for a heavenly onslaught. Like-hearted people have been hearing Him telling us to get connected, link together the pray-ers, and gather together the sticks... because they're ready to burn.
‘Synergy'* has been birthed out of some of us talking together. Unity is key. United together in prayer for the nation of Wales. Young and old of every denominational background marching on our knees and preparing the way for the King to come in glory in this land. The world is watching. The world has been watching for many years, just waiting for the army to arise.
So here we come, with hearts bowed down before the Lord of hosts, the King of Kings ... Jesus, Lord of the Angel Armies himself leading us as we humble ourselves before Him. I'm telling you this because I believe that you, your church, your school, your CU (or Fusion), your place of work, friends and family are a vital part of this vision to cover the year of 2011 with continuous prayer for Wales.
As I've been working for 24-7 Prayer over the past couple of years it's registered in me that we are a nation who have prayer at our very heart but that we are in need of motivation. There's a kind of catch 22 situation where, to be encouraged, we need to hear and share stories of answered prayer but that we need to be praying so that we can experience the results of answered prayer to be encouraged by them!
The Lord says, as He did to His nation Israel, so to we who are grafted in through Jesus Christ our Saviour and Lord, ‘If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins and heal their land.' (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Please join us and respond to the ‘IF' so that we can see the ‘THEN' worked out in our blessed land.
Commit to praying regularly for Wales
This may be for one hour or more, with friends or alone e.g. maybe you can pray every week from 8-9am on a Tuesday morning. To register your commitment, go to www.24-7prayer.com/signup/b83d14. This will access the diary page. Click on the box for the hour(s) you are going to pray and the ‘Book to pray' box appears. Fill the details and you're done.
You can book a longer period of time (upwards of 12 hours)
by registering a ‘prayer room' on the main 24-7 Prayer website. This is
beneficial if you are going to share hours of prayer with others on a rota
basis. To do this you will need to go
onto the website - www.24-7prayer.com ,
register or log in if you are already a registered user, then register a prayer
room (at the bottom of the page).
