Young people gather to pray for the elections
16 April 2010
Hundreds of young people will gather on Saturday 1 May to pray for the UK ahead of the anticipated General Election on May 6.
Prayer Storm, taking place at Audacious City Church from 10.30am to 9.30pm, will focus on the needs of our country at a time of massive political change and ask for God's blessing on the next Government.
‘We need to pray that God raises up righteous leaders,' comments Prayer Storm Coordinator, James Aladiran (pictured right). ‘But most of all we want to put a burden in young people's hearts to be constantly interceding for our nation.'
Last Prayer Storm, which took place on February 27, saw young people from across the nation travelling to be part of a unique day of worship and intercession.
Watch the highlights from the last Prayer Storm:
‘There are moments in history when a door for massive change opens. Great revolutions for good or for evil occur in the vacuum created by these openings. It is in these times that key men and women, and even entire generations, risk everything to become the hinge of history-the pivotal point that determines which way the door will swing' - Lou Engle
