Paralysed businessman healed through prayer
12 Mar 2010
Businessman Rod Robertson, who could not speak, see, hear or walk after a sudden thrombosis until he was totally healed "through the prayers of many friends" will share his story at a Norwich lunch at the Maid's Head Hotel in Tombland on Thursday, March 25 at 1pm.
For Rod the medical condition was brought on by many years of long hours and overwork. A boxer in his younger years, sports-loving Rod was so encouraged by his total recovery and new-found faith that he eventually felt called to leave his work in sales and marketing and enter full-time Christian ministry which took him to Europe and United States. "I felt the hand of God on my life," he says.
Born in Aberdeen, Rod and his wife, Christine, moved to Norwich five years ago and now attend Norwich Family Life Church.
Rod's informal 25-minute talk is one of a regular series of monthly lunchtime events organised by the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship at the Maid's Head Hotel. These lunches, from 1 to 2pm, are planned largely for people who work in the city and are designed to fit into a standard lunch hour with a half-hour meal, followed by a talk.
The cost is £6 (with free parking at the back of the hotel). To reserve your place, contact Robert Ross on 01603 631 050 01603 631 050 (office number) or email robert@positive.selection.com or mwiltshire4@aol.com if possible by Tuesday, March 23.
